The CDS Fund
What is it?
The CDS Fund is the school's most important source of revenue other than student tuition. For all successful independent schools, the annual fund is vital to each school year's operating budget. The National Association of Independent Schools recommends that ten percent (10%) of a school's operating budget come from its annual fund.
The proceeds of this effort will contribute to every part of the school's operation, including art, music, foreign language, professional development, and financial assistance. Also, the CDS Fund makes it possible to offer reasonable tuition and still have low student to teacher ratios. And, most importantly, it helps the school hire those outstanding teachers who best exemplify the CDS beliefs.
Tuition, fees, enrichment and other non-charitable sources of revenue will cover approximately 90 percent of the cost of a CDS education this year.
